Is this USB compatible?Does this require an audio interface?
Our microphone uses an XLR connection, requiring an interface to adapt it for USB and connect it to your computer or other devices like smartphones.
How do the microphones perform?
We believe nothing is more convincing than actual performance. We have prepared numerous recording demos for you, and on each microphone's specifications page, we also showcase the work of talented individuals. Feel free to explore.
Are those omnidirectional?
No,the X2 and X2V are cardioid microphones. The X3 is large-diaphragm condenser microphone. Cardioid condenser microphones and large-diaphragm condenser microphones are both directional, primarily capturing sound from the front. They are suitable for professional recording as they can precisely capture specific sound sources while reducing surrounding environmental noise interference.
Would the Stellar or the vintage be more complimentary to a female voice for voice over work?
This can be referenced from their frequency parameters. The X2 frequency response is relatively flat, with a slight boost in the mid and high frequencies and a gradual decline above 15K; whereas the X2V exhibits a significant boost in the range of about 2K to 15K. In conclusion, the X2 is more suitable for users with lower tones compared to the X2V.
